Jiit- A good place for aspiring engineers

Jaypee institute does not do a lot of marketing of there admissions since they are already a brand name developed. So you'll have to apply for the institute by registering yourself on their website. Usually jiit takes admission on the basis of jee mains rank but for past 2 years it has started taking 50% admission through cbse also because of the corona virus. The first round cutoff of cbse: Cse-97 Ece-93 It-95 Jee main- 90+percentile minimum. Jiit does not have any reservation benefits so there's an unbiased and clean admission process.

I am an ece student which many of you would think does not make sense because most of us work at it companies, but I chose ece because it's something more intresting than just coding. I have planned that I'll also do coding but I'll parallel gain knowledge of communication devices and electronics. Jiit has a great faculty for ece 90% of the professors are PhD from reputed institutes . Some of them are also from dtu and iits. There are three exams held in a semester with 2 practical exams and the total sgpa is decided on the aggregate of all of them.The only con of ece is that number of core placements are really very less so for job you'll have to be great at coding to compete with cse.

Companies like de shaw take tests for internships and then offer internships to some students. But many of the students take internships off campus since not many of them could clear exams of big brands. Many companies give you a good training while internship so that you gain experience and get ready for future job.

Jiit is always known for there placements. All the big companies like Amazon, Adobe, de shaw, Google, Deloitte, E & Y visit our campus every year around 60% of the students are placed at good companies and the other 30-35% are placed at mass recruitment ( 3-6 lacs). The highest package this year was 54 lacs per anum by Adobe. There are many students who don't take a placement and go for MBA or MTech from big institutions like iims or foreign institutes. The average package is around 10 lacs for cse and 8 lacs for ece.

The fees hike policy of jiit is similar to that of many institutions 5-10% of hike.but the good thing about jiit is they'll tell you the total amount with hike that you'll have to pay for 4 years at the time of admission and it's not like they'll change it every year. My total academic fees for 4 years is 9.98 lacs and the hostel fees is 6 lacs total which remains unchanged. There are many companies like de shaw coming on campus with internship opportunities and will pay around 10k . This years placement records of jiit have been fabulous with highest package of 54 lacs.

The campus of jiit is a bit small when compared to others but I think it's enough to have a chill and to study. Our yearly fest is impressions in which there are many activities scheduled and it's really very fun. In 2017 a Ted talk took place at jiit and youtube harsh Beniwal visited our campus. There are many tech and non tech clubs and societies some of them are jiitosachapter,ieee,cice and jhankar. Students take part in these hubs and the ones who remain active in all this in the end gain a better personality of representing yourself . there's a very nice library in our college which is open till 10 pm for hostellers The only thing which is not good are the sports available jiit does not have a football ground as well as less space for cricket,the sports that one can play are volley,badminton, basketball,table tennis and snooker.

Hostel life at jiit is great. 75k is the per semester fee for the twin Sharing hostel room. They are all ac rooms with centralized air conditioning there's a good space for everything washrooms are very clean and the entry timing of hostel is maximum 9:30pm. Wardens are also very nice.there are pgs also around the campus so if someone wishes to stay in a pg can find it for around 10-15k per month.
