Remarks

The course is eligible for students from the commerce stream who have passed their Hs exams. Application forms and fees can be filled online through the college website. There is no reservation system in our college. Therefore I don't see that the admission process needs any improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to become an auditor in the future so I chose this course. There are around 100 teachers in our college. So the presence of large teaching faculty helps to maintain discipline. The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable make the concept of students clear. The term exams are held half-yearly which is easy to pass.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Placement Experience

After passing the 5th-semester students become eligible for the campus. The average package offered is around 3 lac with the highest of 12 lac. Big companies like Tcs Aditya Birla Tata visit our college for the campus. Around 60% of students get placement. I want to become a Chartered Accountant in the future.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are being reduced for below poverty line students in our college. The scholarship scheme is being introduced by our college every year. These scholarship is being provided to students on the basis of marks and students who excel in sports.

Campus Life

The annual fest is held in the month of December every year in the college ground. There are a large no of books and journals in our library on different topics. Our classrooms are well equipped with wifi and a smart class. Sports and extracurricular activities like cricket badminton and carrom are held in our college. The college has its own website.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
