JIIT-62 : An Honest Review by a 2nd Year Student

The admission process was easy. The brochure is available on their site. Go to their site jiit.ac.in and check your eligibility criteria and cutoff marks for the course you wish to opt for and fill the form for registration. Wait for their mail and follow the procedure.

1) I wasn't able to clear the cutoff for CSE that's why I got ECE. 2) All the faculty have done PHDs in their respective fields 3) So far curriculum is quite boring and a bit tough if you were hoping for CSE. 4) Exams have all been online due to COVID and therefore quite easy to pass.

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. All mainstream companies offer placement opportunities. Highest package went upto 54 lacs per annum, the average was 7 lacs per annum. 98% of the students got placements.

For Electronics and communication engineering, fees for 4 years is 9.98 lacs and hostel fees is 6 lacs for boys. I didn't opt for any scholarship or financial assistance and I don't think they provide any.

1) library is quite big and spacious and they have books for all departments. One major drawback is that most of the books are outdated or old editions. 2) There's no WiFi in classrooms, only in the hostel and library. Games, torrents, VPN are blocked and even WhatsApp doesn't function properly on WiFi. 3) there is an outdoor basketball court on sector 62 campuses and a large football court on sector 128 campuses. In sec-62, there's also an outdoor badminton court, volleyball court, a very small football field and indoor games(separate for boys and girls) are table tennis, billiards/snooker. There are 2 gyms for boys and 1 for girls in the respective hostel buildings. 4) All the events, fests, and club activities have stopped due to COVID but clubs are still functional. 5) The campus is inside the city of Noida and you can go wherever you want freely but you have to return and report to your hostel by 9 pm at night.

There's a central duct AC. The bathroom is common. And the balcony is also common among 4-5 rooms. There are 2 bathrooms on 1 floor. Meals are provided in mess 3 times a day - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food quality is quite good compared to other messes but they put too much garlic in my opinion.
