Remarks

Among the top ten colleges of Kolkata for commerce stream our college gives admission to HS pass out candidates from commerce stream having cut off percentage. Admission forms can be filed online as well as offline. There is no reservations system in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to become a Chartered Accountant in the future so I chose this course. The teachers are in our college are well qualified with higher degrees and good norms making the students understand each and every topic. The term exams are held half-yearly which is easy to pass.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for the campus in their final year where big mnc like Tcs Aditya Birla visit our college for the campus. The average package is around 4 lacs with the highest of 11 lacs per annum. Around 40-50% of students get placement. I want to become a Ca in the future.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees charged for the poor students is too low of Rs 2000. While other students are charged 5500 for a year. Scholarshop schemes is being introduced by our college every year which is given to the meritious students.

Campus Life

Annual fest is held in the month of December every year and it is the biggest function of our college.The college library is large with good no of books on different topics.Classroom are old and airy.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
