Remarks

If you want to study at Taki Government college with physics honours you have to score a minimum of 80 percent marks in your higher secondary final exams. And you have to get a minimum of 75% marks overall. Besides, it's good if you get good marks in Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology. As college does not take any admission test good marks are the only criteria to get admitted here. You have to give the four highest marks subject while filling up the form. The merit list will be created based on that marks. You will find the application form on our official website which is www.tgc.ac.in. The application fee for the physics department was around 2000 rs. Yes, there are some seats reserved for minority candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I love physics and have a great passion for this subject. I want to be a researcher in the future. This is why I have chosen this subject. In our department, there were around 30 students only. And we had 5 professors. All of them are good. Our head of the department professor was excellent. And our principal was also a physics professor. The student-faculty ratio was 1 professor per 6 students. We had to do a lot of practical classes in 3 years. Our professor used to do a lot of practical classes. And we used to do seminars in our department where everyone participate in audiovisual studies. All of our professors have done Ph.D. and they were very helpful. We had to give one final exam every year but our professors did take a lot of class tests and they provided a lot of mock question papers. If anyone study regularly exams were not difficult to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

Like any Government college, the Taki Govt College fee is very low. The total cost of study in 3 years is around 5500 rs which is affordable for everyone. And the good thing about college fee is it does not increase for a long time. As the fee is low the college itself does not provide any financial assistance. However, there is various scholarship available for the students. For female students, there is a Kanyashree scholarship. For minority students like OBC/SC/ST scholarship is available too. And the most popular scholarship is Swami Vivekananda Scholarship. The only criteria to get this scholarship is that you have to score above 75% in 12th to get 18000 rs in the first year of your college and you have to score at least 60% marks in the 2nd and 3rd year to renew this scholarship.

Campus Life

2

One of the most pathetic things about Taki Govt College is there is not a single cultural program conducted where the whole students of our college have present. But in our department, we have celebrated fresher's a party & teacher's day. Our college also organized the Saraswati Puja festival every year. And there is an annual sports activity was organized. But we do not have any big playground. Our college is situated beside taki road and Ichamoti River is very close to our college. But we do not have any campus no canteens. And the rooms are uneven. Some rooms are very large and some are small. But our library was very big. There has a large and wide range of books available. And our library room was very quiet, very good for long studies. And our college has a small union group. Most of the things are run by them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Though the bachelor of science is pursued by someone who wants to research and develop some idea to help the modern world. The primary decision was to contribute to the society like the great scientists who have done so before. The curriculum provides a balanced approach of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, theoretical knowledge from classes, assignments, homeworks and exams. Practical knowledge through the different workshops that are held in the college auditorium or online with successful men of the field who are brought as guests in them, from renowned scientists to great thinkers we have met a lot of them.
