Decent College for a student getting rank in 35k-50k in JEE Mains. Admission was done through JAC Chandigarh Cut off for CS and IT is 45K if any student getting a rank in the range of 35K- 50K can consider UIET.
Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching method by the faculty is decent here. The examination is generally conducted on time. Teachers are helpful in clearing our doubts. The examination both the minor, as well as the majors, are easy to pass here.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college is slightly average as compared to other government college like NIT, IIT and IIIT. But there are companies like TCS, Delloite, Samsung, ZS Associate that do on campus hiring. CS and IT engineers get a decent package. Highest package offered in the college was actually off campus by Google. Almost all the CS and IT department students get placed in the college either on campus or off campus
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in UIET Chandigarh are low as compared to other colleges as it is a government college. Scholarships are given on the basis of merit. Placement in UIET is average as compared to other government colleges like NIT, IIT but that said there are still many companies that hire on campus
Campus Life
Campus LIfe in UIET is amazing. As the college is in Chandigarh, there are many tourist places one can visit. AC Joshi library is one of the largest libraries of Punjab. There are many social groups, clubs which are run by students like BPC, Mitra, PClub for computers, etc. Cricket, Basketball, Football and Hockey ground is present in Panjab University. Sports activities like Chess championship, Intra football championship is conducted by the college on a regular basis
