Remarks
Students aged below 25 years and passed class 12th with minimum of 60% marks are eligible to appear for NEET. NEET is the only exam through admission occurs in this college. There is reservation for ST,SC, OBC, EWS students. Director of medical education of Assam publishes the state merit list and application form in their official website. 3 round of counselling is done for admission into the medical colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course to fulfil my dream of becoming a doctor to serve the nation. I choose MBBS course which is a 5.5 years professional graduation course. The student and faculty ratio is around 150:30. All the professor teaches theory topic in power point presentation and practical classes on the department laboratory. Teacher's are well trained , they solve each and every doubt properly. This college conduct formative assessment every month and semester exam every 3month and at the end they conduct professional exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it is a government medical college, so fees are affordable for all classes of families. Books and practical notebooks are very costly. We have to buy books and notebook from outside shop. Sometimes books are not available in the shop so we have to purchase online. I got scholarship from ministry of minority every year around rs 30k.
Campus Life
The annual fest name is SYMPHYSIS. Every year we do conduct an annual fest during July or August month. We do lots of enjoyment during that day. Our Library has lots of medical-related books, magazines, newspapers, articles, etc. During college week cultural secretaries conduct cultural activities like dance, song competitions, sports competitions.
Hostel Facilities
We have separate hostels for boys and girls on the same campus. We have both double rooms and a single room. The rooms are very clean. The HOSTEL is alloted from college based on a neet score. Meals are provided 3 times a day and dinner has mostly tasty food. Nearby PG and rented rooms are available but very costly.
