ADMISSION PROCESS - The Admission Process of UIET Chandigarh is Carried out by an independent body known as the JOINT ADMISSION COMMITTEE JAC CHANDIGARH. ELIGIBILITY- All students that have qualified for the JEE Main Exam are eligible to apply. You can find the application form on the JAC CHANDIGARH website. CUTOFF- For Branches like CS and IT you must have an All India Rank of less than 45k to get a seat for the general category. RESERVATION BENEFITS- All Reservations that are mentioned in the constitution are given like for SC, ST, OBC students. In addition to them, EWS And students from their families in Defence also get Benefits.

Course -Just like every other student I chose this as I had an interest in the field of IT. Since I didn't get a seat in the CS branch so I opted for IT as both are similar to each other. Faculty- Faculty:Student ratio is very good as compared to other private colleges. To be precise it's 60:1 as compared with 200:1 of the private. Qualification- All the faculty members are well qualified. All main subject teachers have taken a Ph.D. degree. Exams - 2 Minors exams are conducted before the Semester exam and the best of the 2 is counted.

Internships offered - The college's TRAINING And PLACEMENT cell provides internship opportunities to students who are well enough. Apart from that many clubs of the college also provide internship opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY- Students are eligible to sit in placements from the 7th Sem onwards. Many companies like Infosys, Deloitte, Wipro, TCS visit. Average CTC - Average CTC is around 6 lac per annum. Highest package - Highest package students grabbed was about 20 lac per annum by Amazon. Percentage getting placed - Almost 80 percent of students get placed but your CTC depends mainly on the skills possessed by you. Many students mainly study here for higher studies preparation but my plan is not to pursue higher studies.

Fees structure - The total annual fees for the course is about Rs. 99325. Duration is about 4 years. Fees hike policy - Fees are hiked for new students after every year but not with a large amount like in the private colleges. Scholarship - College does provide means cum merit scholarship but the amount is very less. In addition to that, the SC people of Punjab and EWS students also get some special scholarships.

Annual Fest - PUMeet is conducted every year but not this year because of COVID -19. Ak Joshi Library- This is the library where you can find all the books for your course. It is well maintained. Sports and extracurricular activities - Regularly these activities are conducted and people get to show their talents in the various events organized by the college. Social Groups - NSUI Group has been working constantly for Student welfare. Apart from that many groups like PClub, BPC, DIC are there as well.
