GEC, Rajkot - Engineer's Zone

In 2016 admission process was online and we had to visit the college for documents verification but from 2020 new students have an entirely online process. To get admitted I completed my 12th with PCM from the CBSE board and then appeared in the GUJCET exam taken by GSEB and then go through ACPC counselling. I belong to the General category hence didn't get any reservation benefits but other students got. Improvements which was required are now shorted and clear just one thing that can be improved is the server get down very frequently.

Electronics is an evergreen branch as a market for electronics is growing constantly so I choose it. For every 120 students, we have 4 faculties in each subject, almost all faculties are PhD holders and well experienced. Faculties were like mentors of all students who approach them for help. We have to give 2 exams every semester 1st exam is midsem and the other is the end sem Exam.

We were eligible for placements when we were in the 8th semester. We had to do a project or internship in our 8th sem other than this no subjects are there to study in the 8th sem. Companies like TCS, GTPL, etc were visited in our college and recruited many of my batchmates but I didn't go for placements because I wanted to prepare for CDS and SSB to join the Indian army. Most of the students of my batch who were eligible for placements were placed hence we can say it was a good placement record.

As our college is a government college we have to pay just 1500 for a year as tuition fees. Girls don't have to pay any tuition fees. Students can apply for MYSY, Digital Gujrat and many more scholarships according to their eligibility. College provides our Students section for any type of Help.

Every year students have to work in a team as a part of management to conduct the yearly fest Brezinger which is the biggest tech fest in entire Saurashtra and 2nd biggest tech fest in entire GTU. College provides as a library with huge seating are and oldest to lettest books, journals and research papers collection. We also get free magazines to read. The sports facility is the worst in the entire college there is only one useless ground. There are social groups like NCC, NSS, Youthbrigede, etc running the college premises. Also, there are other groups like Code chef, etc running by students in college itself.
