Review of Kalyani Mahavidyalaya

The course eligibility is directly merit-based. No entrance exam was taken during admission. You have to get a minimum of 45% to apply the form. However, if you are a general casts student you need a minimum of 85% marks to get admission. There are reservation seats available like others colleges. If you belong to SC/ST category you may get a chance with 75%-80% marks. The application form is on our college website: Kalyani Mahavidyalaya.co.in. In 2018 my application fee was around Rs 7200. I love doing mathematics and want to be a high school math teacher so that I did choose this course. We had 7 faculties in our Mathematics department and in our batch, we had more than 100 students. So the student-faculty ratio is almost 15 students per one professor. Our faculties were very qualified and simply teaches us mathematic's theory. They have taken offline classes regularly and in the time of the pandemic, they took online classes. We had some online seminars with PPT and we did C programming practical classes. We had six semesters in total. We had to give the final examination every semester. We had two internal exams before every semester. Exams were not very difficult to pass

Every semester had an individual fee. There was no extra fee. At the point of admission, the fee was Rs 7214. For the 1st, 2nd,3rd, 4th, 5th & final semesters the fee was Rs 1100, Rs 800, Rs 1400, Rs 800, Rs 1200 & Rs 900 respectively. The fee structure may increase a little bit each year. In our batch, the total cost of the study was less than Rs 14,000. College does provide financial assistance to needy students. And many government & private scholarship is available like SVMCM, OASIS, JINDAL, TATA Kanyashree, etc. This is not an engineering college so you don't get any job opportunities after the course.

In our college, there was a functional program organized every year in January or February. I have seen many cultural programs happening all around the year before covid. We had many seminars in our hall room on various topics. Our library is big filled with thousands of books. We have got all of our books available in the library. We can take a book home. The library room was very clean and decorated with beautiful quotes & posters. There were annual sports programs that happen every year. Many students join in the sports activity. We had a hostel for boys & girls and we had a student union. They were very helpful
