Viren Bhardwaj's Review On JK Business School - [JKBS], Gurgaon

Two years at JK Business School were undoubtedly one of the best years of my life. When I look back now, I realize how JKBS helped me to shape my personality, infused self-confidence and made me ready to face the professional world.

You must be a graduate in any stream with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks. The following are the exams that are valid for admission-CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT. Finally you have to appear for JKBS test which is to evaluate writing skills, group discussion and then it is followed by personal interview.

The subjects for the course are Business Analytics Program, ERP / SAP Module, Six Sigma Certification, Project Management Skills, Digital Marketing. Students who graduate in this program are in great demand by the corporate as they are job-ready.

The college offers Summer Academic Semester Term with California State University (USA) to some over performing students as part of internship. Others are required to prepare reports on the internship done by them in any organization

Few of the companies where the students got placed at our time are – GE Energy, Naukri, Sand Martin, Louis Dreyfus, HCL Technologies, HT Media, One97 Communications, Bajaj Energy etc.

JKBS undertakes regular Seminars, Workshops and Trainings either independently or in association with major management associations or corporate, like AIMA, DMA etc. Apart from this so many events take place like Celebration of World day of Social Justice, Environmental friendly campus drive, Sports Event, Dr. Ruby Roy Dholakiya, Professor of Marketing and E-Commerce, University of Rhode Island, USA delivered the subject "Consumer Behaviour & Technology" to the PGDM students, Workshop on Dining Etiquette, Christmas Celebration, Leadership Lectures, National Sports Meet , Alumni Meet, Convocation

The fees for the curriculum is 5,00,000 and 10,000 to be deposited as security which is refundable at the end of the year. I easily got my refund back after visiting the college two times for the same purpose.

There are no scholarships provided by the college to the students as they are required to pay the full amount, though they do consider requests if there are any.

Being a part of the placement committee, I got to enjoy a lot as we used to work for the placements of our seniors, and we were the first ones to know which companies are actually coming to the campus for the process. We used to run all the time for conducting the processes and to ensure the companies that came find the process easy going without any delay.

Hostel is available for girls & boys separately inside the JKBS campus

Many of our seniors have been placed at such companies- ICICI Direct, Yes Bank, Forex, etc. We get to meet them in the Alumni Meet organized by the alumni cell of the college but only few of the existing students are invited like the placement members, internship committee, students' council.

The exams are held every semester while the marks depend on various other aspects as well like personal contact programme, virtual class rooms, practical computer sessions, case studies, projects & presentations, assignments, management games and role plays.

Every member of staff brings with them years of relevant experience. The weekly guest lecturers by eminent personalities from various fields & industrial tours helped me in developing an out of the box approach to deal with a real time business scenario.
