Experience of college life

Our college is too good in academics and Extracurricular events and the environment is always good here. And as time is passing, college is improving in every field and the most impressive things is the teachers, they're so friendly and too good in what they do.

I wrote CLAT16, scored 106, couldn't make it through, and then I applied for many colleges and university exams and cleared them too, including BVP's entrance test in which I scored 65 out of 100, and made it to the top 200 students who were supposed to get admission and I chose NLC over others because the college is growing so fast and I had friends and seniors studying here already so I had an idea about how it is, and after I experienced it myself, I'm quiet happy with my decision.

Course structure is good, it covers all that were supposed to study and know as a first year student, by now, it includes many assignments, projects, presentations, debates, like, we've been doing that alot and it covers our course widely and these things helps building our research and public speaking skills too.

As a first year student, I haven't interned anywhere yet, because of some personal issues, but I heard from some of my friends that they got recommendation letters from college which helped them bag an internship with some good NGOs and law firms and they got the stipend also which was around 6-8k.

Placements are very nice here. Recently we had an placement workshop for the fifth year students and few weeks back, Tata AIG, visited our college for canpus recruitments and some students did get the jobs with decent packages and there are some with very great salary packages, but at the end getting a good paid job totally depends on you, a college can only provide you a platform in which they're good.

This is one section where our college is the best, our colleg very frequently hosts cultural, sports, fashion events, and debates, guest lectures, Moot court competitions, workshops and etc. For example, its my first year and the events I've participated are the Youth fest, which is a cultural event and after that, many guest lectures by High court and Supreme Court Judges and Senior Lawyers, like Mr. Ram Jethmalani, Mr. M.C. Mehta and Justice Joshi and after that Surana & Surana and P.N. bhagwati International moot court competition are also being hosted by our college every year.

Our college's fee structure is quiet nominal in comparison to other law colleges in India, like private universities and NLUs. Our annual fee is around 75k which is something which everyone could afford if we compare it to others colleges like Nirma, Amity and NMIMS.

Yes, our college provides financial aid to students and to the toppers too, like the top 200 students, who were in the merit list of the examination result, they are provided financial aid in the BA LLB course and there are some other aids too.

Campus life is too active and good here, you get to meet people, friends and seniors who are too friendly and kind. They're always ready to help you and the gender ratio is equal and its diverse and there is no issue over it and there's no discrimination either with anyone on any topic, you'll find people from all parts of the country here.

The hostel facilities and environment is good and friendly as I've heard and seen so far as I don't live in hostel, rooms are good, but a bit messy, just a bit because, there are 4 people in one room, so at times it can feel like messy, but the hostel food is good and its edible and we all know about the hostel food in colleges, how it is, no matter how good, students would never like it.

Our college hosts and alumni meet, and the last one was held in delhi where the students who graduated came and met each other and the teachers and their is an online portal where the current students could connect to them.

Neither they were very frequent killing us all with the burden, nor they were very chilled out. We have everything well planned and scheduled, and the exam structure is also good, we have regular assignments, projects, presentations and debates to keep us going so that we don't have to rush in the end or we don't get much burdened, so the college is quiet good a record at these things and we have a new revised better course now than the last year, they've been teaching us with the updated material and want to build us in every field.

For me our faculty is the best, there are people who are best at what they do and they've proven it by their achievements and qualifications, we have the gold medalists, and the teachers who've recently cleared the judiciary exams too, and they are very good in their field.
