Remarks
The admission at Amity was merit-based. They considered grades of 12th standard and selected candidates will be shortlisted for further evaluation. The application is to be filled online and submit all your test scores along with other extracurriculars and other academic achievements. The admission process was smooth and transparent. I was later approached for the interview which lasted around 15 minutes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is highly comprised of both elective and non-elective subjects. We have been imparted education about everything from financial and cost accounting and other foreign languages like French, Spanish and German. We had other subjects like micro and macroeconomics and behavioural science with their theories and applications. The faculty was highly educated and conducted brainstorming sessions about each and every topic in detail. The faculty student ratio is 17:1.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides a summer internship of 8 weeks in departments like risk management, accounting, auditing, taxations and other commercial matters. The internship is usually unpaid, However, departments like auditing and assurance services provide a monthly stipend of 5000 rupees. Companies that recruit for internships are EY, TCS, Deloitte, etc
Placement Experience
The university has an average placement rate of 90%. Companies like Amazon, Google and Aditya Birla Capital visit the campus every year for recruitments. These companies have a preference for well performing students in the matter of academics and extracurriculars. Highest CTC provided is 12 lakhs while the Average CTC stands at 5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has merit based scholarship where candidates scoring more than 99% have a 100% fee waiver. Candidates with a percentage around 93-95 have a 75% fee waiver.
Campus Life
The campus life here is very cheerful and social. From libraries to campus grounds to sports complexes, we have got everything to boost our energy outside the classroom life. The social and cultural events have esteemed guests from india and abroad. Legal awareness program, Housing solutions for the homeless are some of the campaigns organized here. Besides this, the annual fest at Amity is the most awaited time of the year.
