Remarks

The admission was done physically on Dec 24th 2020. It was done through the Kerala medical portal and the allotment was also given by the same. There were no reservation benefits in my case. The admission process was simple and did not take much time. Filling up some paperwork was all that was there.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because I had a deep interest in studying the human body and biology as a whole. The faculty over here is well qualified and graduated from various top colleges of the state. They are well updated on the syllabus and thoroughly revise methodologies. There are 100 students in 2020 batch and around 15 teachers in total. The exams are hard to crack and requires studying round the year to achieve the target.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for campus placements during the final year after their university exams. Almost all leading institutions take up students passing out based mainly on the merit of the candidate. 80-90% of the students are placed in good sectors of the community.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is more than what it deserves. It is estimated to be around 2.5 lacs per annum for the tuition fee alone. Other fee like special fee and lab fee are yet to be included. The hostel fee is around 1.2 lakhs per annum which is also high. The stipend provided is around 10000 every month after undergraduation.

Campus Life

2

Annual fests happen once in a while. These are conducted based on the schedules of all batches. Hence, there is no fixed month when fests take place. The library is equipped in an average proportion. Sports and extracurriculars are lacking. No social groups or clubs as such.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Provides basic facilities. Wifi connectivity is provided in both college and hostel premises. Food quality is very low based on the hostel fees. Hostel registration is a simple process that gets completed within 30-40 mins of paperwork.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
