MMMUT: A decent collage.

My selection is done on the basis of my jee mains score in B.tech course of mmmut. And I got alloted electrical engineering branch also as per my jee mains score which was 93 percentile. I find the application form on the official website of mmmut which is "mmmut.ac.in" and I paid 1500 rupees for application form submission as I am from the general category but for sc/st the application fee is 750 rupees. Application for addmission came on the website in the last week of July and end in the first week of August every year. Yes, there is an improvement that councelling is online which is good.

I choose electrical engineering course because as per my jee mains score i got this only . My preference was CSE then IT then electical then mechanical then civil then chemical. In first round i get alloted chemical , then i got float on mechanical then on electrical and then on electrical FW seat and then i freez my seat because it was last round. As in my branch which is electrical engineering the total number of student is 163 so, our branch students are divided into two sections i.e. section A&B respectively in each section there in 80-80 students. Both section sit in different classes and have different teachers for each subjects. All faculties are well qualified all faculty are very experienced and have lots of knowledge and almost every faculty has done M. tech and PHD from some very renowned institutions like IITs and NITs. All term exams are taken on time as scheduled given to you and the exam is not as difficult to pass if you have attended all classes and have make notes .

If you want an internship in some good companies then you have to apply off-campus here. On-campus, you can get involved in research work with professors and you can publish research papers here. And your name will be mentioned in the research and a certificate will be provided to you. Also, there is various kind of Summer internships where students can apply here.

From the end of 3rd year students here becomes eligible for campus placement. Here many big companies visit like Microsoft, adobe, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, De shaw, Havells, J.K cement, HCL, Infosyss, Tech Mahindra , Accenture, Hummingwave, etc. Form Cognizant there was total 144 offers, from HCL there was 32 offers, from Accenture there was 30 offers, from Hummingwave there was 23 offers etc. Overall there was 600+ offers this year is 2021. In CSE all most 100% students get placed. In other branches almost 50% students get placed here . In core branches Electrical and ECE has good placements in comparision with other core branches. Apart from placement students here prepare for competetive exams like GATE, CAT, IES and UPSC. And student every year qualify these examinations with good results. My plan is to crack UPSC and being an IAS officer.

Fees is average or we can say that low as compared to other government colleges and it's very rare that here fees hike. This collage is very affordable. And you can get scholarship if your father annual income is less than 8,00,000 rupees. The scholarship is U.P. govt. scholarship. And after that scholarship you will only have to pay 40,000 of whole year including collage and hostel fees. If you perform very good in your semester exam then all you get scholarship , if your financial condition is not good.

The annual fest which is most famous here is "Techsrijan". And other fests are Abhudaya, Robomania , Heats, electra, etc. Mostly these fests are conducted in month of January and february. The lecturehall complexes are fully air conditioned and fully smart class with projectors and and screen with white board as well as blackboard. Some lectuehall complexes are not fully air conditioned which were old. Every sports facilities are provided in the collage for example hockey, football, TT, badminton, basketball, cricket etc. If we talk about extra curricular activities then many debate competitions, dancing, singing and drama/plays are organised here. Many socities and clubs are there in collage like Training & placement cell, EDB, IEEE, Robotics club, E-litreary club, SAE, E-cell, EEL etc. Each societies and clubs have seperate websites.

The room is provided with a bed, a table, and a chair as well as an almirah. For the first year the room is two-seater or 3 seaters according to room size, then for 2nd yr increases to 4 seaters everybody, then again in 3rd year you come on 2 seaters and in the final year, you will get a single room. Food is decent and you get morning breakfast around 8:30 am, lunch around 12:30 pm then evening breakfast at 5:30 pm, and finally dinner at 8:00 pm, and on Saturdays apart from 1st year, there is no dinner and evening breakfast. Overall the quality of mess food is decent. The menu is decided by the mess incharge which is a student representative. The registration process for a hostel is very easy, on the official website of mmmut the google form for hostel comes, you have to just fill it and the hostel will be alloted to you. The hostel is very much affordable.
