After applying to many colleges like Bangabasi College, Surendrnath College, etc I took admission to this college as this one is close to my house. In order to get admission to this college, the minimum criteria are to score at least 60% on boards but they provide their merit list according to the cut-off percentage.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course because of my interest in finance. The college faculty is very much experienced and give their 100% to clear our doubts. Exams are taken as per the schedule of Calcutta University. With almost 12 sections for each semester, there are around 1500 students in the college.
Placement Experience
In semester 6 students can get a placement as per their educational qualification. Big companies like Tcs, HCl, Wipro etc visit for placement. Salary package depends upon the qualifications and experience of work. But then also it average around 3 lacs per annum. Around 70% of students get placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a government-aided college so there are no high fees like the private colleges so the cost of each semester is around 5-6k. It is much cheaper than many colleges. Also the management authority organises loan scholarship schemes for students with annual income less than 2 lacs.
Campus Life
Umang is the annual fest of the college which is conducted around month of June or July. There is a big library in the college with more than 1000 books and good facilities are available for reading. There is also a big club room where all sports activities take place. The college even has its own website.
