Komal Chillar's Review On JK Business School - [JKBS], Gurgaon

A lot of things changed from when I came to JKBS for the first time to the time when I had to say goodbye, I became more confident about myself, enhanced my skills, and most importantly I got a direction for my career.

Taking admission into this college is not very tough as you need to pass 12th class with average marks in the best four subjects and then appear for the JKBS test, and then the final interview round occurs which selects the candidates on various basis like previous academica, extra curricular activities.

The curriculum of the course involves subjects like accountancy, mathematics, economics, Statistics, e-commerce along with some other concepts like marco economics, taxation.

I got placed in GoIbibo for internship and there I got an exposure of the industry and I learned new techniques as well as learnt the concept of price parity. It also helped me sharpen my skills in MS office.

JKBS provides a great platform for the students to get a job even before the final exams. While some students are still wanderingaround for good companies I got placed in AMUL right before the term ended, though the package was not glittery but I knew I would get to learna lot.

There are so many terrific events that occur- sports day, meets like annual corporate meet where the corporates from all over the world come together and have fun as we organize games for them, make them dance and everything, then there are trips across India

The structure of the fees is quite big but I remember we paid around 55,000 per year for three year course, and in addition to that initially we paid approximately 10,000 for the registration and security deposit.

I enrolled for the scholarship test and did my best but I could not reach upto the level of the cutoff for the scholarship so I did not get it. The amount that is waived off is the registration amount only i.e around 10,000 is given as scholarship.

Life at JKBS was happening with the events that used to take place every month, the library where we could find almost everything we needed to study, the sports area where we could play all day after classes, and the canteen which was the only place to find every student.

JKBS provides the hostel services for all the students. We had so many celebrations at the hostel, all of the time was spent with friends, we played,we studied, we did everything together and it was really hard to leave finally.

Many of our seniors and the Alumni are placed at decent companies and we meet them in the Alumni meet that happens every year , we get to interact with them and gain knowledge about the industry with their experience.

Every semester we have tests quizzes, vivas, group projects, assignments and to top them all we have the semester exams that are conducted to test our overall learning from the particular subject. The exams are held two times in a year and we get the previous year papers for reference purpose.

The faculty at JKBS is so skilled and supportive of our dreams, that they encourage you to do well while you forget the initial reason for your joiningthis institute but they don't. They are available whenever needed and they are also assigned as mentors to every student for better approach.
