Vaishali Bhaskar's Review On JK Business School - [JKBS], Gurgaon

I had an average time spent here, as I believed it to be a good college but it was not that excellent in terms of academics, you have to learn things on your own in order to get a good placement.

Eligibility criteria for admission into this college is appearance in CMAT or any other entrance exam or the JKBS exam, and graduation marks which should be not less than 40%.

We studied markekting, finance, eco, HR, OB, Economics, Introduction to Business Analytics in the first year and then we choose our specialization like Marketing, Human Resource, Finance or Operations.

Every student is offered internship in some or the other company if they apply for all the companies with whatever profile stipend or location because if you dont do so you will end up criticizing as there will not be any companies left which would come to hire people.

I got myself placed in the final month but was fortunate enough to get a company like TCS coming in so late for the recruitment. The average package is about 5,00,000 and the profiles offered are good for finance and sales for marketing. For HR very less companies come to the campus.

I remember the sports day where there were so many sports activities tobe a part of some and my friends went on to play tug of war against 5 huge people that it was impossible for us to win, but my friend was the only person from our side who did not giveup till the end, we din't win though but the memory of seeing him put all his energy is still afresh.

Fees for the course is 6,00,000 in total including all the tution fees, laptop charges, study material, the registration and the security deposit. WE have to pay the amount in installments though a demand draft drawn in favour of the college.

Good policy on scholarships as i got one after appearing for the test and scoring 80% in the same but the amount which you get for the scholarship is the same as registration which hardly makes any difference.

Life at JKB is quite enjoyable as we get to experience a threshold inside us and interact with seniors and faculties on certain events like saraswati pooja, festive celebration.

JKBS provides hostel facility for boys as well as girls and the food at mess is unbelievably nutritious and we celebrate so many events here, there are extra charges if you want without sharing room, and for the laundry etc.

One of my relatives was an Alumni here, though I don't know him well but he said that it's a good college and he got placed in fin corp. and then he switched to Amazon.com

Exams were so hectic as it was one whole week of stress where we had to give 2 exams per day. Every day after reaching home by 6.30 you dontget time to study for the next exam which is in the morning.

Faculty here is so amazing that you don't feel a need to ask them anything, the concepts taught by them are understood by the students so well. One thing not good here is that they are very strict and don't give marks and ask us to raise the standard og writing relevant to the topic.
