Remarks
The counselors in college during admissions are not actually qualified for the purpose because they are general teaching staff of subjects who don't know about all branches and what could be beneficial for a student. They don't talk about students' interest in the subject but praise and tell more about their own college, like campus life, infrastructure, coding competitions and etc. Secondly, the admission process is much more manual rather than automated and not all documents of a student are verified. Though the people are polite and humble and understand the parent's concern for their child more focus should be on the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams in JECRC University are not at all timely. I took admission at the end of September 2020 and classes started in October. We were 2 months late because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today while writing this review we are still 3 months behind as this is the month of December 2021. So now you all can have an idea of how things work in this college i.e. exams are not timely and they are not able to complete the course as well. Now about the difficulty of exams- The exams are quite easy and not a subject of worry if you have in the branch you opted. The notes provided by teachers are enough to score in exams. But one should read books for excellence in the field.
Internships Opportunities
I didn't take internships on campus but took them off-campus so I can't disclose them here but as per my friends the internship experience from college is not at all good and companies were also not reputated. Even the stipend was not up to the mark when compared to work. They contributed to the running the system software of the companies and upgraded them as per the customer requirements.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester, before that they are eligible for internship offers during 5th sem. There are companies like Paytm, Mindtree, Capgemini, Accenture etc. The average package in college is 4 l.p.a. The Highest package was of 41 l.p.a. There is around 98 percent placement record. After getting the degree I will pursue Masters in Machine Learning.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got a general scholarship from the University itself on the basis of Higher Senior Secondary Board Exams. People who score above 95% get 50% scholarship. If score is between 90 to 95 percent then 40% scholarship is granted. If score is between 85% to 90% then 35 percent scholarship. If score is between 80% to 85% then 25 percent scholarship. If score is between 75% to 80% then 20% scholarship. The fee of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering is Rs. 182000 of a year. If you take a specialisation then 20000 rs. Per year is charged. An additional 10000 rs. are charged as registration fee.
Campus Life
There is a wide variety of technical clubs for CSE students: 1. Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors 2. Google Developer Students Club JU 3. Amazon League JU 4. COSEC 5. Voice Flow 6. Code chef community 7. JU Makerspace There are some cultural clubs for dance, music (Swarag club) and mass media (Maverick club) and sports club as well. The campus is wide and clean with cafeteria and some food stops. The infrastructure is also good as it is a eco friendly infrastructure. There are no classroom amenities, though some classes have projectors but teachers are not able to use them as no connection sytem is provided to them. So they are just to show guests. Also, the class benches are usually dusty but floors are always clean. There are a lot of extracurricular activities in campus by the communities mentioned above and for sports we have only cricket and football ground in campus and no indoor games.
