Arijit Malhotra's Review On SRM University Delhi NCR, Sonepat

At first I thought it was good as I made so many friends and everybody knew me I became so famous, but later on I realized that the only thing I was doing was pleasing everyone which is good for marketing but not in personal life.Here, I am learning life lessons also.

If you are applying for this course then all you need to do is get at least 40% in you graduation from any university or any course or it can be from distance learning also along with a valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT score, and fill up the form. They will call you for group discussion and interview, and almost everyone who applies gets selected I think.

The course is vast in the first year as we have to study the basics of management as a whole and we get to choose the specialization later. Concepts that are taught in the first year are business communications, accountancy, financial statements, marketing, introduction to business analytics, personality managerial efficiency.

Internships are offered by the college as a part of the curriculum, you have to apply for the company you wish to intern in and a monthly stipend will be paid along with the work that they will teach you as a part of your project.

The college maintains what it says as there are many companies coming for the recruitment process like Oracle, Tata Consultancy Services, Birla soft, mindtree, Cognizant, IndusInd Bank etc

So many events take place at SR like first of all there are clubs which organize these activities -Adventure Club where they organize trips for trekking, river rafting etc, Enviro Club to create awareness regarding preservation of the planet that can be done by saving electricity, disposing plastic bottles, recycling.

They charge a very minimum amount of fees which is 4,50,000 for the complete course, along with 50,000 at the time of registration and 10,000 as a security deposit.

Scholarships are offered to meritorious students on the basis of caste as they have Haryana domicile which states that the students of Haryana Domicile are eligible who have got a very good rank in the entrance examinations.

Life at SR is average as we get to have fun in the college but there's nothing outside as we don't have anything here where we can hang around or chill. We have to study so much because of the pressure of getting good grades else no company will hire us.

The college provides hostel service for boys and girls, where the rooms are decent looking but you have to maintainonyour own and I am not the one with cleanliness where on the other hand my friend is a freak in terms of cleanliness so she keeps cleaning and I keep throwing things.

The alumni is friendly, we met them at the annual alumni meet and we interacted with them played games and gave them titles also. Only committee members are invited for the meet so not everybody gets a chance to know them. I am a part of the placement committee so I was lucky enough to meet them.

Initially there were mid semester then we had to do assignments, then live projects came up where there were so many fights because of working ina group and then there were the final exams which occured two in a day,all if this is so exhaustive.

The faculty is good, they are approachable, knowledgeable but some of them are so partial towards their favorite students, one time my friend answered more questions than I did and I got 10/10 but he got only 8 and when we asked the teacher he said its because he needs to improve.
