About me: I am sujith from Chennai. After completing my 12th grade, I decided to join Engineering in particular Information Technology. About Admission process: 1. Once the 12th results are published, go to the Anna University website for further notification 2. TNEA - Tamilnadu Engineering Admission will be notified and you need to fill-up the form. Once you fill-up the form, you need to select a college, course, then pay a fee of 5k INR as an admission fee. 3. After this, you will be allotted a particular college, of your preference if you have enough marks. Note: There are various reservations available like sports quota, servicemen quota, etc. Higher the cutoff, the higher the chances of your preference.

About College and Department: 1. Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology is one among Sairam Group of Institutions, it has around 6 engineering departments - CSE, IT, EEE, ECE, Mech, Civil, AIDS, CCE, and 2 ME courses. 2. IT - Information Technology dept has a well-equipped lab, friendly staff students ecosystem. 3. On average every year around 120 get into the dept. 4. Exams are conducted every month and they are strictly considered for internals as the college becomes autonomous. 5. Staffs are qualified ones with at least M.E or M.Tech as their qualification. 6. 1:15 is the staff students ratio.

Students are asked first for their interest in a placement. Companies do start coming in 6th-semester end and 7th semester start. As of my batch 2022 - more than 1.2k students got offers out of 1.5 to 1.6k students. Various companies like Amazon, Walmart, Zoho, and service companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Accenture has come. I got an offer at TCS. Package details: Up to 7lpa - normal 8lpa to 14lpa - dream Morethan 15lpa - super dream World-class companies like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs had also visited. The highest package offered - 12lpa Amazon.

There are various guidance given to avail scholarships from various organizations. Almost all students get TN govt Caste-based reservation scholarship amount every year. First graduate reservation is also available. Cost of study: Day scholar: 1.5LPA Hostler: 2.5LPA.

Every year cultural event is organized where students exhibit their talent. Every department organizes symposium events, tech talks, at regular intervals. Sports are not given that much importance. Classrooms have enough lighting and air ventilation. Power backup is present The library has a huge collection of books, magazines, journals, etc. A new large library is been under construction. There is a huge auditorium.
