Remarks

It is one of the best medical colleges of India located in Kolkata. Students who must pass class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks in the science stream and must qualify NEET to be eligible for counseling. The first students have to apply for counseling and then the rank will decide the college. I got to this college as my state rank was 12. The application form is available online after the Results of neet. Reservation is given to sc, st, obc students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to become a doctor. I had worked hard and scored 590/720 in my NEET exaam. I didn't have money to pay for private colleges fees. So this is the best I could get and I'm thankful for that. The course is very interesting but it is really very difficult. But if one studies properly and invests time in studying for most of the time, one can score good marks in the exam and be a good doctor in future. My class has almost 200 students and around 30 facilities. Examare conducted after every 3 month and at the end of the season they conduct University exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is a state government medical college and hospital so fees are minimum cost, we have to pay one-time college fees of 40k, and then every month we have to pay 2500 for mess foods. We do get scholarships from the ministry of the minority. After 4.5 years of study, there is a lot of chance for medical practice, we get a stipend of around 30k per month. After passing mbbs we can join government rural service/central government hospital/ private hospital and self-employment or private practice.

This is conducted every year by our seniors/ 3rd yrs students. Our medical college has two huge rooms for study one for the common room and the second for pgt students. While annual function occurs then different social games participate by students. Our senior college students made an app people care network for common poor people.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
