Admission in IIITDM JABALPUR based on jee mains rank. The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of the 10+2 system or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. If you came from the general category then you got mechanical engineering in the 96-97 percentile. If you came from obc category then you got this branch in 95 percentile. Admission to this institute through josaa counselling and csab consulting.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose mechanical engineering because I love machines. All faculty of our institute are PhD holder and their teachings method is awesome. The examination pattern is that 4 exams are held per semester i.e. quiz midterm and endsem. Question level is quite difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies visited institutes to provide internships to the students. They take tests or interviews to select the students for internship. If you make branch related projects then it makes easier to got internships from various companies
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, you became eligible for Placement. The placement of CSE and ece students are awesome but not so good for mechanical students. Hardly 60-70 % of mechanical students got placed with an average package of 8-9 LPA. If we talk about overall highest package goes to CSE and ece students which is 44lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you want to study in this institute you will pay 70000 fees per semester and 10000 mess charge and 7000 to hostel charge which makes approx 95000 per semester and 760000 to the whole course. You got MCM scholarship which is given by the institute if you are eligible for this scholarship.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the campus is awesome. Campus spread among 250-300 acres of land. Abhikalpan is the annual tech fest and gushto is annual sport fest happend in institute. There is a huge library in the institute where you find all course related books and journals. There is the various club to give exposure to the students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility provided by the institute with very nominal charges 7000 per semester. Mess facilities available in the institute which provides healthy and tasty food. You got meal as per menu decided by the institute.
