My aim to get college

Admission to this college is on the basis of the All India rank of NEET UG Which is conducted by NTA(NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY). After the neet result is declared state government releases a merit list of that state and counselling is conducted. The seat is reserved for SC, ST, OBC, students as per government rules. This mbbs course is NMC based. In 2019 the curriculum got updated, which included more clinical knowledge. To become a good doctor NMC has made a good curriculum, the more we get clinical exposure the more we become good doctors. Our faculty members are too good and cooperating, they teach all aspects so well. Our MBBS curriculum is of 5.5years, which includes 4.5years of study and 1 year of compulsory rotatory Internship. Every month they conduct a semester exam and at the end of the season, they conduct a University exam.

As compared to private medical College, the fess of this college is very minimal. We have to pay extra fees for mess food every month which cost around 3000. And also the books and notebooks are very costly. The scholarship is based on merit. So all students do not get scholarships. I do get scholarships from the national scholarship portal under the ministry of the minority. I do get scholarships under the MLA fund. Students can apply for scholarships from NSP website or buddy4study website. Various NGO comes forward to provide scholarship to meritorious students.

The annual fest of our college is lobelia. Apart from students many famous artists of Mumbai(Vishal Sekhar, Farhan Akhtar) and Kolkata(Anupam Roy, iman Chakrabarty etc), famous bands like Indian ocean perform in this 4 days fest. Another big fest is a reunion in memory of the death anniversary of dr. r g kar.Saraswati puja is also celebrated on campus and in hostels. There is various intra college and inter college sports. Besides having a large ground for playing there is a library with a student capacity of almost 250 students and with sufficient books for studying.

Hostel are very clean.Hostel facility is very good. Girls hostel is inside campus and boys hostels (2) are outside the campus students from outside Kolkata get hostels. Hostel rooms, bathrooms, electricity, drinking water all facilities are excellent. On the mess they provide meals 3 times a day with evening snacks. Nearby PG and rented rooms are available.
