Remarks
The eligibility for the course is any bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate. I took the NMAT exam. The cutoff for the main campus (SBM) was 235 marks. After getting shortlisted, I had to appear for a Written Ability Test followed by a PI.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because after working in an IT firm, I did not see any growth and felt that MBA would be the right opportunity to develop some management skills in order to excel in my career. The faculty-student ratio in our division is 1:63. The faculties are well qualified with enough knowledge to provide a deep and clear understanding of the concepts. The teaching methodology is usually a case study based which helps to understand the concepts more practically. Exams are conducted online currently and the difficulty level of the papers are moderate.
Internships Opportunities
EY offered an HR consultant role with a 40k per month stipend. Reliance for HR Analyst with 1.5 Lakhs per month. Similarly, other companies had offered an internship between the range of 30k-1.5 Lakhs.
Placement Experience
From the 5th trimester, the students become eligible for placements. Companies that visit are EY, IBM, Accenture, Johnson & Johnson, Reliance, etc. 100% of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get a decent placement in a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is a little towards the higher side. The total course fee is 21.9 lakhs. However, it gets compensated with the placement opportunities that the college provides. There are not many scholarship opportunities but it is easier to grab a job.
Campus Life
The cultural cell Nepathya organizes a cultural fest, mostly conducted in January. College provides books and journals in the library. Classrooms are spacious with all facilities. There are some sports competitions as well. Some of the cells run by students are Not Just Marketing, HRuday, Ecolibria, etc.
Interview Experience
There was a Written Ability Test. The topic for the same was a small case based on the future of AI. There was no GD. WAT was followed by PI. Questions asked in PI were - tell me about yourself, career aspirations, why MBA, some current affairs, strengths. I used to practice the basic hygiene questions and read the newspaper to keep myself updated with current affairs.
