Remarks
Students who have passed 10+2 with 75 or more percentage with enough marks can get admission in b.tech in the chemical engineering program. Generally, the counseling is done by josaa rounds, followed by csab rounds and one special round for the seats that are vacant after csab final round. There are some category-wise reserved seats and some for female candidates (around 2 in each branch). It's not that easy to get admission. You need to maintain a good score in JEE mains. The admission process is a little too hectic. Everything is good but I think they should provide more information about document verification and more time too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chemical engineering is a real good branch according to me. Faculty: student ratio is 1:12 which is really good. All the faculty members are very well qualified and everyone has a different method of teaching. But at least they're not too boring. And most of them are fun and enjoyable. Their method of teaching is really easy to understand and it's good for an Engineering student. For 8 semesters there are 16 exams. 1 midsem and one endsem per semester. Other than that there are 2-4 quizzes for 10 marks. Some exams are difficult and some are medium . If you've studied properly you can do well.
Placement Experience
I guess in 7th or 8th semester students become eligible for placements. There are different packages provided. A lot of students get good packages. I'm planning on getting a job after completing my course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee is 62500 per semester (other fees like term fees and all are extra). Hostel fee is not included in tution fees you have to pay it separately. There is fee remission, which is provided as financial help to students with family income less than 5 lakhs. If a student's family income is less than one lakh they get full fee remission at the end of the semester or the year, and if it's between one to 5 lakh they get 2/3rd. There are certain documents required to get the remission.
Campus Life
There are seriously many fests throughout the year. Also, every department has its own fest or event. Like 'siphon' for ches(chemical engineering society) and all. There's a huge Central library on campus. Also, there are many cultural and technical clubs. The environment is fun and enjoyable.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are different for different years. For first and second there are double sitted rooms and for third and fourth there are single sitted(for girls). I don't know about boys' hostels. Food is good in the girls' hostel. And I guess the hostel and mess charges are genuine. Because the food and facilities they provide are worth it.
