NMIMS MBA HR Review

For application in NMIMS, you have to apply for the NMAT exam by GMAC at the portal and separately apply at the NMIMS home page for a fee. After appearing for the NMAT exam between October and January where you can choose the date as per your preference, the cutoff comes in the first week of February after which the interview round is scheduled and the final result is announced in the first week of March.

The MBA HR course is a comprehensive course consisting of the latest topics such as HRM, team effectiveness, etc, and coupled with an amazing faculty who constantly drive you to push your limits. The placement record over the last 5 years has also been amazing with an average CTC of around 13LPA for the MBA HR course. The student to faculty ratio is 128:25 for MBA HR.

Around 50-60 companies come for internship placements offering stipends between 20000-125000. Some of the companies are Goldman Sachs, Reliance, unacademy, Aditya Birla, etc. The roles vary from Recruiting to Human Resource Management and Performance appraisal, etc.

The students become eligible for campus placements towards the end of the 4th trimester and around 40 companies come to the campus for placements with the highest package going around 20LPA and the average being around 13LPA.

The annual fee is 10,95,000 and apart from that, there is an option to apply for hostels as well which costs around 2,50,000 per year. The college provides summer internship opportunities to the students where numerous companies come on campus for hiring students for an 8-week internship program. The stipend ranges from 20,000 to 1,50,000 per month. The final placements record is also amazing with an annual CTC of around 13 LPA in the last 5 years.

The campus-like is very good at NMIMS with the infrastructure being a work of art. There are various clubs and cells apart from the placement committee in which the students can register themselves after a brief selection process. The cultural cell is Nepathya which organizes year-round events and fests for the students such as Rubaroo and Euphoria. There are various sports and extracurricular tournaments organized by the college.

After clearing the NMAT exam, we had to appear for a WAT exam which is an essay writing test after which we have to appear for an interview. My interview revolved around my work experience at BMW Krishna automobiles and basic hygiene questions such as introduce yourself and why HR.
