The admission process started with the NMAT exam. The application forms were available on the website nmat.org and the fee was Rs 3000. We had to give the exam and clear the specified cutoff for it. I scored 219 and the cutoff was 208 that year. After that, we had a case discussion in which there was a panel of 12 students. We got 20 mins to speak on the topic. The topic that we got was NET NEUTRALITY. After that, we had a personal interview, and then the results were announced.

I chose this course because it provides us with excellent learning opportunities and exposure. There are about 630 students and about 50 faculties in the school of business management. The faculties mostly have a doctorate degree or are pursuing their doctorates. Different faculties have different reviewing methods, some of them take quizzes, some take assignments, some take viva and some rely on written submissions or presentations and the difficulty also varies from subject to subject. There is a timetable that is shared at the start of the trimester and every class, quiz, exam, and holiday is based on that.

Almost all the big companies come to the college from Consultant, BFSI, FMCG, FMCD, Education, etc. Companies like Google, Microsoft, bain, PWC, Asian paints, Airtel, and all the banks like IDFC, ICICI, HSBC, HDFC visit the campus providing us with ample opportunities across various domains. I interned with Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited with the projects of automation and improving the supply chain and logistics inventory of the company.

The students have a mandatory 2 months internship after their 1st year and then after the 4th trimester, students are eligible for their final placements. There were about 250 companies that visited the campus this year and there is a strict policy of 1 offer per student. The highest package offered in the campus was 42 LPA and the average package for this year was 19.7 LPA. 95% of students get placement from the campus and the rest 5% opt-out because of sabbatical, higher studies or to start their own business.

The fees for MBA Core students were INR 2081000 having 1041000 in the first year and 1040000 for the second year. The fees increase annually ranging from 0.5-1%. There are a few scholarship opportunities entirely based on the merit of the NMAT score. The college offers all kinds of financial assistance of all bank loans. The interest rates of different banks affiliated with the college are from 7-12%. I got my internship in Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd with a stipend of INR of 25000 per month.

The annual cultural fest of NMIMS Mumbai is Euphoria in which reputed celebrities are called and stuents from all over the india participate to win prizes. It is conducted in March every year. Apart from the offline library experience, the college also provides the e library and e-books and other subscriptions from mint, statista etc. The classrooms have staircased benches with proper airconditioners and white boards, projectors, and proper lightings and fans. There are activites conducted throughout the year- cultural, marketing, finance, HR, ops and sports.

The process started with the NMAT exam which a MCQ based paper. There were 3 sections named verbal ability, quantitative ability and ogical reasoning. The test was of 2 hrs with maximum marks of 360. Post that the selected students had a case discussion after the tests results were declared. The topic given to us was NET NEUTRALITY. The panel had 12 minutes and we had 20 minutes to put our points. After a healthy discussion each one of us was asked to give our concluding remarks. We had a personal interview after that in which first few basic hygiene questions were asked and then few questions based on my job experience and graduation profile were asked.
