NMIMS - Review from the Inside

The admission process starting from the results & shortlisting to onboarding of the students was very seamless. Except for the fee payment window which was very short. The overall process was quite straightforward. I appeared for NMAT and got a score of 245 and was then shortlisted for an interview. I did not avail of any reservation benefits.

The course curriculum is very comprehensive & it covers a wide range of topics, all necessary for students to have a managerial learning and perspective. The curriculum is designed in such a way that students learn the topics practically and not just theoretically. I have chosen the MBA Marketing program of NMIMS. The faculties are highly qualified here. Not just qualified, they are always very patient and understanding with the students. Exams are taken at the end of each trimester.

The companies that come for placements to our college are the best in their industry and are esteemed. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, HSBC, Nomura, Marics, HUL, ITC, etc come to the college for hiring. Similar companies came for internship also. The stipend offered is an average of 50,000.

The placement process starts for students in their 2nd trimester for the summer internships & in the 5th trimester for the final placements. We have marquee companies that come for hiring the students and the package offered is at or above the industry standards. The number of companies visiting the campus is more than 60 and the highest package offered last year was around 35 lakhs per annum with 100% placements.

The fee structure of the course is on a higher side as compared to other colleges but it is because of the place the college is located i.e. Mumbai. Also, the fee hike policy is that the fee gets increased by around 48 to 50,000 every year. There is no scholarship assistance offered by the college.

We have not yet experienced campus life due to the pandemic and online mode. However, a few of us visited the campus and were really amazed at the infrastructure of the college. The whole experience was really amazing & we cant wait to start with our offline classes. There are various extracurricular activities in the college like badminton, table tennis, etc. I am a part of Rangpunch with the dramatics clubs of NMIMS. Really enjoy being part of this club.

For the batch of 2021-23, we had a written ability test and personal interview which was conducted during the day itself. The entire process took up almost half a day. The interview questions were basic hygiene ones and one of two questions were technical. I prepared for these rounds by brushing up on my basic concepts, general knowledge & hygiene questions using various youtube videos and books.
