One of the best institutes for MBA in HR

You have to be a Graduate from a recognised University. The university rolls out the application forms for the NMAT test to be conducted via the GMAC application form of SBM which can be accessed from the official website. This is followed by a written ability test and a PI post which they release the final list of selected candidates. The process is conducted in a smooth manner.

I chose Human Resources because from my past work experience I was intrigued about the different learning and development modules curated for the employees which comes under the purview of the HR department which is why I wanted to learn more about how they go about their business.The faculty to student ratio is around 1.5 and they guide the students pretty well clarifying whatever doubts that the students have. The term exaams were conducted in an efficient manner and all the topics were covered in the range of questions asked.

Our placement cell works pretty hard to ensure that all the students have an offer with resoect to the summer internship. These placements start in the month of September with the big companies coming in the beginning. The whole process is carried out very efficiently by the cell and they help the students whenever needed. The average stipend was close to 1 Lakh with the highest being 2 Lakhs.

The placement cell works pretty hard to onboard a great deal of companies and thus ensures a 100 percent placement record for the students. The highest CTC for the HR batch was around 21 Lakhs p.a the previous year and the average is around 14 Lakhs p.a. Top recruiters were the likes of Wipro, EY, Reliance, Adity Birla Group which shows the diversity in terms of the industries that these companies operate in.

The fees for the program is around 11 lakhs p.a and the ROI is good especially considering the companies that the university brings in for placements. The cost is a bit steep but the overall experience more than makes up for it.

Owing to the spread of the Covid 19, the university has had online classes for us but that does not stop the various committees from staging numerous events throughout the year keeping the students engaged during these tough times. This goes for sports as well as other extra curricular activities for which we have had a number of events already. The college boasts of various clubs dedicated for dance,music,drama and certain educational cells incorporating Finance and Economics in their events.

We had a written ability test and a personal interview after clearing the NMAT cut off. The topic for the written test was a generic one and the PI went off well wherein I was asked about my previous experiences and my reasons to pursue an MBA at NMIMS.
