Remarks
Eligibility for MA in specific fields are different but in sociology, ur % should be above 50 and the department will conduct an entrance exam for that. In the entrance, we have to score above 60 if you are following Gen/obc category and above 40 if you are following st/sc/sebc, etc. Application forms can be found on sites msu digital. Application fees of sociology were 300/-. Dates will be announced on the university page. Reservation benefits are given to students like DSW scholarships and etc. Only management who provide information and result is outdated.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course option bcz of career opportunities. The faculty has 5 professors and our class is of 60 students from different graduation backgrounds. All the professors are so supportive and their teaching methods are really helpful. We have to give mid sems and external. Mid-term is likely to be conducted after 2.5 months of study and after that, we have to give external. And because of methods our professors use like assignments and projects exams are not so difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Mainly companies related to the industrial estate and engineering fields select students. Their internship period is likely 6 to 13 months. And the stipend is above 12k. They organize seminars and workshops so students can send their resumes.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester students are eligible for the placements. So many companies like L&T, syska, etc visited and selected our students and from schools also primary teachers are selected from the faculty. After getting Masters's degree I will apply for B.Ed course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for girls is 6000 and for boys is 7000. They also offer DSW scholarships to the students. Department ensures that if there is any information regarding job campus they inform students about that. And assist us in sharing CVS also.
Campus Life
We celebrate youthfest every year in January and Yugaantar also in the same month. The library has all kinds of books. There are 2 libraries in the clg. There is not high tech amenities now in the classroom except mikes. Faculty organises sports events also. Even there is different course for students. Students can opt NCC if they are interested in sports and other activities. Abvp, Asu have their own pages on insta and Facebook.
