I joined IIFT through a separate exam conducted by IIFT. The eligibility is having any graduation degree. The application form is found on the iift website and the fee for the exam is INR 1500. The application date starts from September and ends on November. The exam is an offline objective plus subjective exam having four sections.

The reason for choosing the course is that IIFT has a great alumn base and highly qualified set of faculties which helped me in overeall personal growth. There were 110 students in my batch and around 20 faculties. Most of the teachers are either doctorate or are working on getting their doctorates having high experience. We were given a time table and all the things from exams, quizzes mid-terms and holidays are scheduled as per that timetable only.

I interned with Merskline shipping and my project title was handling the inventory and shipping cost and improving the entire supply chain management of the process. The other companies that visited the college campus were Google, Microsoft, and all kinds of banks, all fmcg, and consulting firms visit our campus too.

The students become eligible for placement after 4th trimester and there are many companies visiting the campus. All the top tier companies from FMCG, branding, Consulting, BFSI etc were available with us and the highest package that was offered in our batch was 1.2 CR. The average placements for our year were 16.9 LPA with 100% placements secured by the MBA students.

The fees structure for us INR 1500000 which also included the hostel fee and mess too.The college provides us with all kinds of financial assistance. The students get an option of education loan at a relatively cheaper rates from all top banks like SBI, HDFC, PNB, ICICI etc. The rate of interest varies from 6-11 %.

The IIFT campus is a residential campus having a hostel in it too. There are all kinds of cells and clubs in college for different sports and specialization like Marketing, HR, Operations and Finance and all the cells had their own special fest where students from all the different Bschools can participate. The classes had AC projector whiteboard and students used all these things to make the classes interactive.

The hostel fee was included in the total fees of 15 lakhs and it was compulsory to avail in hostel facilities. Out food was also included in it. The hostel had tt table, a badminton court and a small canteed for food and beverages. We used to get meals four times a day. The morning breakfast followed by lunch, then there were evening snacks at around 5 pm and then dinner from 8-10 pm everyday.

We had group discussion and a personal interview followed by that. Initially we all gave the IIFT test which had 4 sections- English, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness. The students clearing the cutoff were then called for group discussion. The panel was of 10-12 students and we were given a time of 15-20 minutes to make our points. After that the selected students had a personal interview round followed by the result of their selection.
