To begin, a student must apply for NMAT through GMAC competitive test, which normally begins in October every year. The registration fee is Rs 2500 plus an additional 2500 for a retake. The Raw scores are received on the spot but the scaled score is published later. The MBA core 2020 cut-off was 207. After you pass the cut-off marks, an official mail will be sent from NMIMS which includes all details of the next round-Wat/GD/PI.

NMIMS has one of the greatest teaching pedagogy. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. The majority of teachers are Ph.D. holders and industry experts. I chose this course due to my past work ex and getting conceptual and practical knowledge for the same. There are more than 25+ subjects in the first year itself and we can choose electives in the second year according to our specialization. We conduct midterm and final exams at the end of each trimester.

Summer internships are offered by a range of companies in a variety of fields. These primarily include Marketing, general management, finance, and operations with companies like TATA, Wipro, PWC as well as companies like GS, HDFC, Nomura offering roles for credit rating, IB, treasury, and business analysts. I cannot reveal mine due to NDA signed with the company. However, the companies that come to the college are both Tier 1and startups as well.

Summer placements start as early as the first month. A plethora of companies visit the campus and more than 250 offers are made. The highest internship stipend was 3 lacs for 2 months and the highest domestic package goes as high as 45 lakh and the average is about Rs 18.92 lacs with a wide selection of profiles available to all Every year 100% of placements are recorded. The placement committee was able to complete the final placement season in 8 days this year.

I don't have opinions on the fee hike policy, however, the cost of education is a bit on the higher side. For a period of 2 years, we have to pay approx 21 lakhs which is expensive as compared to other MBA colleges. For students with an annual income of fewer than 8 lakhs, scholarships are available. The campus offers a two-month summer internship, and later in the year, Final placements. The placement committee is completelety supportive of the students. During SIP- students received job offers from 160+ companies with an avg. package of roughly 1.2 lacs.

NMIMS has a beautiful campus. Cells and clubs were quite active even during the pandemic organizing various events throughout the year. Euphoria is NMIMS annual fest, held at the end of the year-graced by celebrities which are organized by the cultural cell and student council. Other cells and committees are active based on student interests, such as specialization and abilities. The campus has a fully functional library with a large selection of books as well as internet access and online tools for students.

The GD-PI is held on the same day as the shortlisting based on the NMAT scores. GD is done in a group of ten people, and the topics are usually abstract-current affairs, political or situational based. This is followed by the PI round which consists of questions based on your CV-your work-ex, schooling, interests, Why MBA, etc (basic hygiene questions).
