Anyone can get admission who opted for PCM stream in Class 12th, Students can get admission by Jee mains rank and also from direct admission on basis of class 12th marks. Application form can be found on the College website and also from Jee mains website which has fees that vary depending upon the category of students. No, I haven't availed any reservation Benefits and got admission on basis of my jee mains rank. Yes, Curriculum can be updated. There is this college lagging behind.
Course Curriculum Overview
I want to study Programming and computers so I chose this course. The faculty is average and enough so that every student gets answers to their questions. Teachers are Ph.D. holders and some are masters in respective subjects. Exams are difficult but not so that the average student can not pass, The examination is syllabus based and everything is covered in lectures by professors.
Internships Opportunities
Since I'm in the first year so no internship I opted for, in campus Internships are very few, students avail off-campus Internships. Paid Internships (where you pay and do not get paid) are offered by companies like HPES, NIIT, etc where they teach you a new tech and then give you a project to execute. True they give you no exposure into how the industry operates and are a classroom program themselves, but your knowledge gets a boost which is helpful in the 4th year when placements start. With HPES, learn android application development, and was asked a lot about it.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements after 3rr years, In campus, placements are not so great. Poor Placements, companies invited for the placements are never verified and mostly include tier-3 BPOsaverage or a little average for CS/IT. CIVIL opened in 2012-2013 so can't talk about their placement till their first batch passes out. EC guys sometimes may survive and get jobs in some CS/IT company. Average Salary Offered: 3-4 Lakh pa. Highest Salary Offered: 40 Lakh pa (Google/off campus).
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are different for students who get admission on the basis of direct admission and on the basis of jee mains rank. Direct admission Costs more fees than students who got admitted by jee rank. Scholarships are available for financially weak students and also for category students, private Scholarships are available for Every students. The Fellowship program is also available for students pursuing masters.
Campus Life
No annual and cultural fests are organized in the college.No fests, Neither technical nor cultural are held in akgec. A one-day cultural day was celebrated in 2017 and that too when half of the people were gone for the Diwali holidays. Books are available for students in the library but not updated books. Journals from the stone age are also available but no one gives them a look. Yes, some societies are in the college for dance, singing, literature, photography.
