NMIMS Mumbai

To get admission to NMIMS, you have to give NMAT. The usual cutoff for NMAT now is 235 but before i.e in 2020 and prior it used to be 207. I got 210. The process for me was offline but in 2021 it was online and the same is expected for 2022. After the shortlisting, there would be WAT, which was on current topics and situations. The interview is taken by a faculty panel of 2-3 faculties. It mostly revolves around work ex, internships, current affairs and hygiene questions.

The course curriculum is good and is updated according to industry standards. The faculty: student ratio is 1:15. Faculties are very helpful and support you in projects. Quiz and submissions happen from time to time so that students are able to keep up the pace with academics. It is easy to pass quizzes and exams if one pays attention in class.

NMIMS provides internships to everyone. There is 100% placement in a summer internship. This year 140 companies visited. The average stipend was 1.2 lakhs and the highest was 2.5 lakhs. The companies were mostly from Marketing and sales, BFSI, Consulting and Product management.

The placements at NMIMS are really good and NMIMS secure 100% placements. This year also NMIMS had 100% placement. 160 companies visited the campus. The average placement was around 18 lakhs with top 25% getting a CTC of 22 lakhs. Highest placement was 58 lakhs. Dominating sectors were Sales and marketing, finance, consulting.

The fees for my 2 years is about 20.5 lakh. It is a bit on the expensive side but ROI is decent. The college provides many opportunities in many case competitions. It provides some scholarships to the students facing financial issues and has good academic records.

The campus is very beautiful and looks like a 5-star hotel. All the required facilities are available on the campus. There are many clubs and committees in the college like sports, finance, marketing, economics, Dance and singing etc which helps students to work together and have a good social life. Faculties do help and guide where ever required. The library ( both offline and online ) is having great content. Nmims provides bloomberg access as well.

This time there was WAT instead of GD and it was online. The topic mostly for GD and WAT will be from current affairs only or some abstract ones. After WAT/GD there would be one interview taken by faculties of NMIMS. It would be based on Work ex, Internships, some basic hygine questions and current affairs. Be prepared with your work ex properly and do read current affairs regularly.
