Remarks

Good placements and it is one of the top NITS in India, therefore I choose it. I got selected in NSIT, DTU as well as my rank in JEE advance was 8723 but due to the reason I was getting new IITS, NITW is much better than them in terms of placements and NSIT, DTU being state colleges so I didn't joined them

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is not so good, academic facilities is average because in labs equipments are old and curriculum is very old, they have not updated as per time. Exams are all about spitting out crammed words. Typical Indian education type system

Internships Opportunities

Samsung with 80k stipend, internship opportunities are same as placements but somewhat companies comes less in number for internship but majority profiles for which they come is software only.

Placement Experience

Placements are just fabulous and companies that come to campus are countless even in covid period 200+ companies came, and all were having not very high Cgpa Cutoff also , highest package that was offered was 51.75 and average package for my branch was 15.05 and profiles were in majority software then hardware , then mangement , then core(electrical , mechanical ,chemical). Almost 80% people from BTECH got placed an my plans is just now to do my job with great efforts. companies like Microsoft , Qualcomm , Goldmann Sachs , MasterCard , Cure.fit, Atlassian , Samsung , Amazon, Service now , Standard Chartered bank , Destuche bank came. and gave 12,30,2,6,2,2,4,2,12,6 respectively gave.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is very less especially for this nit if person has income more than 5 lakhs his fees is 62500 , if between 1-5 then 20500 if below 1 it is free (General category ) , for SC and ST it is free completely , scholarship one can get If one gets good CGPA every year he will be offered scholarship from the college , and every year for toppers OP Jindal scholarship also comes which can give upto 80k apart from college scholarship , campus jobs opportunities are fabulous here

Campus Life

Life at the campus is good, nice places to hang out, some clubs are good like innovation garage, ea and hams club, infrastructure is decent, books and journals are ample in number in library, gym, badminton, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis courts are there, Wsdc is good enough to learn web dev that handles hostel allotment and online registration

Placement Experience:

There are placements in our college,we get placement training from our 5th semester and in 7th semester we are eligible for the campus placements, the highest package they mentioned was 60lpa. Over the placements are good and you need to get 65% in your exams for the eligibility of campus placements

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester, you are well eligible for placements. Various company's and firms get into some famous like Amarchand and so on. As an intern, you are not getting that big salary offers but you get a good and sustainable amount of money for work. I think the highest package was offered as 18lac per annum and the majority stick to 13 14 lakhs. 100% of students get placements if they have performed well in every semester. I've decided to work one year as a clerk with a judge and then on to do my master's in law from abroad.

Pros and cons of nitw

I choose this college over other college because of the placements and I heard from someone that we will get too much opportunities from here and we are getting it One of the reason is I wanted to go away from home . The alumni connection of the nitw is the strongest one.
