Remarks
The admissions are based on CAT or any other national exams. We had a personal interview followed by a counselling session. The registration is done online and the fee is 1500 rupees. They had good placement rates and the fees were nominal. This was why I applied at Uttaranchal University.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course duration was of two years. Uttaranchal University offered specializations in subjects like Hospital Management, Retail, HR, Marketing among others. The department was very supportive. They often conducted group discussions and invited talks, for extra exposure. And the course gives a very well rounded idea of the concepts of management.
Placement Experience
The placements start in the second year. Students are expected to have a descent academic record to get placement. Companies that recruit from Uttaranchal University include Wipro, Deloitte and Infosys. Almost 95% students got placed during the campus placements. The highest CTC offered was 10 LPA and the average was 5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
77000 is the tuition fee for each semester. Scholarships are availed based on the scores of the qualifying exams. Students with high scores are given reduction in the fee. There are many other schemes for students from economically weaker section.
Campus Life
The campus life that Uttaranchal University offers is very good. There are many events organized throughout the academic year. These events vary from Freshers day, Annual Cultural Fest, Sports Day to other Academic competitions. Students from our university also have opportunities to participate in inert college fests and competitions. The infrastructure at Uttaranchal University is highly advanced. There are more than 100,000 books in the library and we get free access to journals and databases.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are available for limited number of students. The registration starts right after the course admission. Other PG and dormitory facilities are available outside the campus. The hostel fee ranges from 20000 to 60000. This depends upon the number of people staying and the facilities available in the room. if the room has Ac and an attached bathrooms, the rent will be high. There is a mess close to the hostel. The food there is of good quality.
