Choosing the right college is a daunting task. When I wanted to pursue M.Tech Biotechnology I wanted to make it to Amity University, Noida because the Bio-science department is very reputed. Not many colleges in India offer a master degree in Biotechnology because they lack the infrastructure. However, at Amity University the faculty is highly qualified and experienced. It has state of the art infrastructure and exposes its students to a greater industry interface experience thereby, opening various new avenues for unparalleled on campus job placements. The university is also ranked as the best private university in India. Only 15 universities from India are in both QS and THE ranking and Amity is one of them. It is also #1 Not-for-profit pvt. university that offers exciting scholarship offers to its meritorious students. Amity University also has student exchange programs with foreign universities thereby provides the students with global exposure.

The course curriculum at Amity University is updated as per the UGC standard. The faculties are highly educated and experienced thereby, delivering unparalleled standards of education. Amity is renowned for its state of the art infrastructure and industrial interface in terms of internships and on campus placement.Dr. Alka Grover at the School of Bio-sciences is the coordinator of the department. She has a sound knowledge about Genetics and delivers a subject as complicated as Human Genetics in a very interesting and engaging manner. She ensures that everyone understands the subject and the students get hands on exposure to all the possible techniques for a better understanding.

I interned at Allele Life Sciences, Noida as a research analyst and worked on a project regarding natural preservatives for fruit juices. I directly applied on the website to bag an internship at the research institute.

Amity University ensures the students get hands on experience through various internships and student exchange programs. The university has MOU signed with various foreign universities for an enhanced learning experience. Almost 90% of the students get placed with a decent salary package. The university ensures that all the students get equal opportunity when it comes to appearing for the job interviews organised on campus. The university takes an effort to train all the students by conducting various induction programs and prepares them for the job interviews. Various companies come on campus for placement however, if a student makes it to one interview he/she can not appear for the second company.

Amity University hosts sports festival and technical, cultural and management festivals wherein there are inter house competitions and even competition amongst various universities PAN India. The students get to explore their hidden talents and polish their hobbies and skill sets by means of such activities on a large platform. The Annual Cultural festival at Amity University sees a footfall of minimum 1 lac students thereby making it a big event. Various celebrities often pay a visit to Amity to promote their upcoming movie.

Amity University, Noida is renowned for its state of the art infrastructure. Amity's library is one of the best university libraries in India. Students can have access to over 2 lac books and the library is spread across 56,000 sw ft. It is basically an integrated knowledge research center where one can have access to the best journals in the world. The labs are equipped with all the latest instruments and technology driven campus which is powered by solar electricity and a fully wifi enabled campus. Amity has a designated sports complex and playing arenas where plethora of sports can be practiced such as horse riding, volleyball, squash, football, swimming etc.
