Also guest faculties keep visiting the campus, majorly from IIM-L.4) Robust recruitment procedure with reputed recruiters coming from all walks of management.5) I am inclined towards marketing and IIM-J offers good profiles from the specialisation.6) College lies in the heart of the city with every facility available on campus.7) Airports n railway station lies nearby which gives great advantage in terms of location at the time of placement.8) Advantage to be a part of Pan India IIM Alumni Network having its own advantages in terms of both learning and networking.
Course Curriculum Overview
According to the alumni, B-School experience at IIM-jammu is top notch. The course curriculum is that of IIM-Lucknow, and the institure constantly hosts faculties from the same. Industrial exposure and Live projects keeps students on toes, and summer placements provides a vision through the practical corporate world under globally recognised recruiters.
Placement Experience
Placements are decent given it is a relatively new IIM. Location sometimes effects in placement, as we have to travel to Delhi for a few companies, but it is an emerging IIM in terms of placements. Highest touched 24 LPA for the batch of 2019, and most of the placements were from marketing specialisations.
College Events
They say YOBO- You only b-school once.It stands absolutely true for jammu campus as the annual fest empyrean is the epitome of fun and frolic. The campus also hosted music festival sunburn last year. Other than the school hosts numerous industry integration programs and demands active participation honing leadership and team playing traits in students.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I did not take any scholarship or loan through college. Most of students take loans separately from banks. Loans are a smooth sail if one is an iim- call getter. It takes maximum 1 month to get it sanctioned, most of them are collateral free.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is good, campus is Wi-Fi enabled, we have gym, mess and hostel facilities. Campus is located in the heart of the city and has beautiful weather and greenery around it. Only thing I personally dislike is disallowance of 2-wheelers on campus.
Hostel Facilities
The campus has separate hostels for girls and boys, which are easily accesible and hostel rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Rooms are sharing and the cost is included in 13.80 lpa overall.
