Anonymous's Review On Indian Institute Of Science Education And Research - [IISER], Mohali

I really like the course structure of our college, labs are the most fun part for me. I've always wanted to study science and that too, in detail by pursuing a career in research because I'm really curious to know new things and understand their mechanisms, all of the faculty members and the colleagues at college have made the whole process a lot easier and more fun. I love the way the teachers teach and apart from this, IISER Mohali is really active in co-curricular activities, you get to explore new talents in yourself and the environment of the campus is really student-friendly.

The course curriculum of IISER Mohali is well planned and executed, initially it might seem as a lot of work and extra courses but they're all gonna be helpful in future in some or the other way. We've interdisciplinary courses which are really very helpful in learning and exploring new fields of your interest. Apart from this, all of the faculty members are really good and friendly, the way they take lectures is amazing, you woild love to be a part of them. Apart from this, we have help sessions which are quite regular and multiple assignments given to students for practice, this way we also get to interact with our seniors and seek guidance for future, the whole environment of the campus is really student-friendly, you would hardly find it difficult to adjust there.

Mostly after a BS-MS Degree, people either go towards the corporate sector like marketing and end up doing an MBA or they may wanna pursue a career in research further, so they opt for a PHD. Either options you choose, you do get good places to pursue them from, in other words, this degree does carry a lot of value in future.

IISERs have events like IISM and IICM in common in which different IISERs compete against themselves in sports and cultural activities respectively. Apart from this, IISER Mohali also has its own various cultural events which keep taking place throughout the year, one thing I love about them is that the students here are really active in organising and participating in the events, so you get to learn a lot. Also, we celebrate all the festivals here on campus, the students organise everything in their own traditional ways seeking help from others too, this way you get to learn about different cultures, North-Indians would come to love the celebration of the festivals of South and vice-versa.

IISER Mohali has one of the most amazing 8 storeyed library, and it has a huge variety of books ranging from science to fiction and novels. It has a huge campus which is well covered with a lot of greenery that makes the campus much more beautiful. It also has a good quality campus wi-fi and a big and well equipped sports complex.

IISER Moahli is a fully residential campus, we have 4 co-Ed hostels for the students with multiple rooms, you've to share a room with ome more person for the first 2 years, and then you get a single room in the 3rd year. The hostels are well equipped with all facilities and the rooms are decently spacious to be shared by 2 people.
