I always loved science and research, and had the hunger for knowledge.I got to know about iiser in my 12th class though a newspaper articleand found it interesting enough to dedicate myself into getting into iiser and prepare for the aptitude test.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well I liked the course structure of IISER mohali. The course is designed a way that a student will understand the concept better. I even like the lab work as it relates to theory courses with the ongoing semester.
Placement Experience
Most of the students go for further studies to get their phD. Jobs after just BS - MS is not recommended because in scientific research one needs work experience as an intern.Iiser Mohali has a very good alumni network which is very helpful.
College Events
Campus life at IISER mohali is lit. One can even find students chilling in grass at noon during their free time. Most of the students are really friendly.It feels like the whole of india in at one place when a festival comes. Everyone loves and enjoys each and every festival; whether it is onam from south, lodhi from north; everyone loves the celebration and the grand participation.
Campus Life
Iiser mohali has a football ground, basket ball court, tennis court, room for table tennis and badminton course.So basically it is very sports friendly. Also has provide different wifi for students faculty and guest which has a good connection in some areas.The best part of the college (I think) is its library; very peaceful envirement, loads of books and properly air conditioned.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are well managed. There is the cleaning staff that cleans your room and the corridors.For first two years, one needs to adjust with a roommate. It is always advised to pray for a good roommate. But if you can manage, your roomate can become you best friend. There are four hostels in total, in general one is needed to stay in hostels. The water at the water cooler is UV purified.
