Remarks
Interest in research and basic science were the most critical factor in deciding my decision of choosing IISER Mohali. Parents also played an important role in deciding my decision and according to me our country should focus on research and we are lagging behind in this field.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is set in a very nice way. You got all fields basic knowledge in your minor years and then in your major year you select your main subject which you find interesting for you. Faculties are very good and knowledgeable.
Placement Experience
No placement cell in college. So no direct placements of students in any companies or industries from college. Students approach in their own way to companies of they want to do job after their degree.
College Events
Full of fun and excitement. Science fest was organized on foundation day and I participated in this and many schools students from nearby schools participated in it and we students of college show them some nice science experiments. Insomnia is the annual fest of our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
INSPIRE Scholarship provided on basis of boards percentage and as I was in top 1% so I received this scholarship and on basis of it I also attended Vijyoshi Science Camp in Kolkata.
Campus Life
Top class. No building is coloured and the reason behind this is some of the policies by local government which refrain government buildings from colouring. Buildings are designed in such a way that it can tolerate a good strength earthquake.
Hostel Facilities
Boys and girls hostel are combined. There are total 4 hostels in IISER Mohali each having 8 floors with lifts. There is canteen on 3rd floor in every hostel and a common area on floor 4 where girls and boys can meet.
