A multidisciplinary approach with focus not just limited to your core domain, an experienced faculty and a beautiful campus where some reasons to opt for SNU. Opted for Mechanical Engineering course.

Course material was up to date with current standards. There were frequent industrial trips. Most of the faculties were experienced and highly qualified. The HoD of our Mechanical Departments was a PhD holder from IIT Kharagpur. A very humble and down to earth person who was always ready to guide students.

KION India, GET, 10000 pm. Got selected in the company during the on campus recruitment process. The company had a six-month training at its Pune plant before final joining.

The placements at SNU go well planned. The placement cell provides mock interview sessions for students to get accustomed to the actual process. Companies like Ashok Leyland, Mother Dairy, KION, Titan, Daikin, etc. visited for hiring Mechanical background candidates. Out of the total students opting for placement, around 70% got placed in some of these companies.

The campus life at SNU is always cheerful and keeps buzzing with energy. Breeze, the annual cultural fest, is the perfect platform to set the mood on the campus. Usually held in February-March, inter college fest attracts hundreds of students form Northern Indian colleges. Besides Breeze, various clubs and societies keep conducting events to keep the students engaged.

Availed a scholarship ( Category C) where certain percentage of tution fees was waved. This is subject to you keeping up with your grades. One must maintain a CGPA above 6 each semester to retain their scholarship. This often serves as a motivation for students to perform better.

One of the most loving aspect of SNU is its campus. Spread over 286 acres, the lush green campus provides a perfect setting for study and extra curricular activities to go hand in hand. The campus is a home to various species of flora and fauna. With a magnificent indoor sports complex recently constructed, the campus is a the perfect place for sport enthusiast. The entire area is a WiFi zone with the Central Library being the iconic structure of the SNU.

Without a doubt, SNU has one of the better hostel accommodation across the country. The hostels are usually available on a single and double sharing basis. You have an option to choose between an AC and non-AC one. The rooms are well-ventilated and well-furnished with a table, chair, bed, cupboard and racks. SNU has a compulsory on campus stay and that brings students much closer.
