Remarks
I have a very inquisitive mind and i have a zeal to quench the hunger of my inner inquisition. I have raw love for science and passion to be scientist. I want to be a trailblazer in the sciece field. The interest of doing basic science, finding unprecedented things and discovering novel ideas. I want to teach students along with my studies. Science is an incremental field which never ends and keeps ramping with time. I choose IISER, Mohali because it is best known university for basic science. It has highly learned and owned faculty with multiple laboratory in interdisciplinary field of science. It is repleted with immense study material and resources. Above all, it has a wonderful ambiance for doing studies and research.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course syllabus is updated and revised. Academics and course curriculum are good.We have diverse faculty members. Biology faculty is very warm and nice. In Bs ms you need to study all 4 core subjects (physics, chemistry, biology,mathematics) with 2 extra curriculum subjects dependig on each semester.
Internships Opportunities
I am a first year student, so i have just started exploring. I am currently scouting my interest labs which is very important and necessary to start for your work interest in science. I am taking many reading projects and doing e courses which will help to fi f my interest lab and projects
Placement Experience
Mostly students after Bs Ms get recommendations from abroad for higher studies. They get internship and good stipend opportunities from reputed universities and labs. There are many great option one can explore after this course.
College Events
We have basketball, volleyball, tennis,badminton court. We have a huge playground for athlete's,footballers and crickets. We have 4 indoor badminton court. Our campus organise tressure hunts, computer coding, quizzes, movies and screen playing ( every Friday), bird watching, yoga classes, zumba.
Fees and Financial Aid
KVPY Scholarship. I get 5000 rupees very month. Apart from kvpy scholarships, student can also avail scb inspire scholarship that is decided on merit. But you can only avail one of them. As i am a kvpy scholar and got into iiser mohali through kvpy channel, so i get stipend from kvpy for which i have fo maintain specific thresholds (60% marks every year and research project)
Campus Life
We have got good wifi connection, great sports facilities, 8 floor library, different labs in separate buildings. Hostel Facilities
Its very well maintained and good hostel. It has 4 hostel currently. It has automatic laundry and everyday cleaning staff. Clean and maintain mess. Balconies and open terrace. Study room with fully air conditioning.
