Remarks
My interest was in research from my class 10th and I started to search for carrear and college options after class 12th. I found IISER on google and I found out all the information from there and give IAT test. The only reason to join iiser was it's world class research facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the professors are from Max Plank, MIT and other well-known universities. All the professors have at least two postdocs. They are the best in the country. And also, working with them in the lab will be grateful for a scientist. The student to teacher ratio depends on the course you take. The curriculum is updated science. If you are a fourth-year student, you will not be studying from outdated textbooks, but from the latest research papers.
Placement Experience
As for now IISER Mohali does not have any proper placement cell. Here it is planned from next year onwards, and we might get a functional placement cell. Most of the students here opt for higher education like PhD or MBA. You can even apply for other government jobs like civil services.
College Events
The institute has a lot of extracurricular activities such as Inter IISER Sports Meet and conferences. The institute is very near to the airport and Mohali station. The institute has annual fest in February-March for 3 days named INSOMNIA.
Campus Life
I am a student at IISER Mohali. Here, you will have high-speed Wi-Fi all around the campus, and in the room. The labs and classrooms are the best in the country. The Library here is known for its collection, and there is a Heath Center inside the campus. Almost every sports facility is available. We have two volleyball and tennis courts. We have cricket ground and football ground, badminton and table tennis courts etc. are available, and we have floodlights also. We have a single room for every student except for first-two year students.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, there are total 4 hostels and I am living in hostel-7. There is canteen on floor no 3 and a guest room on the groundfloor. Cold water tanks are there. Gysers are there in bathrooms. 24 into 7 hours electricity available.
