Remarks
As I belong to a lower-middle-class family, I couldn't afford a prestigious private college and my numbers were not that great so I couldn't join nit iit, I had to choose a trade that must provide a good job at the end of the course and as the textile industry provides more jobs than any other fields I took interest in that and completed B.tech and joined industry with campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was a little outdated as the machines in industry are now completely different from those of textbooks although the basic working is the same. Classes were okay as they improved during the course after renovation. Faculties were not in accordance with the number of students. So there was a lot of load in professors to be of guidance help.
Placement Experience
Trident is the best company that visits our college. It gives a package of 15 l.p.a. and others give below 5 l.p.a. Vardhman Raymond's reliance Arvind are among the top companies which give good package. Some are placed through gate score in various field as Textile being the branch qualifying gate is a lot easier than any other branch.
College Events
We had average extracurricular activities as things got better towards the end. As ours was the 100th batch of our college there were enough functions and events. We had a say in the events so that was something good. There was no proper field for sports activities but we do manage to do some arrangements.
Campus Life
One thing that was completely absurd was the infrastructure of the college. There was no arrangement for drinking water. and hostel rooms were also in a very poor state. The building also had cracks and we were very troubled for safety. Electric and water supply in the hostels were so bad you can't expect any worse condition. 2-3 days in every week there was no water in toilets. It was a nightmare.
Hostel Facilities
As I told you above the buildings were not that great but in our last year we were given a new hostel so at last there are some good memories but water problems were not resolved. For both drinking and toilet there was always insufficient water.
