Remarks
This is IIT. You don't need factors to choose it. its a matter of pride to study in most prestigious institute in the country. I wanted to explore flavour of research culture. You will gain respect from your surrounding people. You are studying among some of the best brains of our country. You will get the chance to learn many things from them. IIT is not only about its student doing well in engineering and research but also about learning management, finance, social skills,etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to learn Machine Learning and AI in depth and also do research in this domain. Faculties are world class. All most every professors is PhD from world's top institute. This course is research focused. It is also called mini Phd.
Placement Experience
During the 2019-20 placement drive, the IIT Kanpur had witnessed a 93.17% placement record. The highest CTC had stood at INR.For PG students CSE department placement is always very good. My plans after getting degree is to work in some good work life balance companies on the position of Data scientist or SDE
Campus Life
IIT Kanpur offers a vibrant campus life. It is a safe and secure campus. Students will find the beautiful and peaceful campus a great place to live. When they wish to do something there are a lot of choices available to them. Students can pursue the passions they bring to the campus. Or they can take up new ones. There are many recreational facilities, hobby clubs, sports facilities and cultural societies on campus.In the chosen activity, whether a student is a beginner or is at an advanced level the student will have company and will enjoy the bonding and camaraderie.

GATE, 2020, 772/1000(AIR 349)
Admission
GATE exam followed by Coding test, written test and interview. Because of covid in my time it was cancelled. Admission was solely on the basis of GATE Score.
