IMS, Dehradun is a well known name among B-schools functioning under Uttarakhand Technical University and it made the ideal place for my MBA programme. The institute has been working since the last 25 years & it also has AICTE approval. Although this IMS offers various UG/PG programmes, MBA is the flagship course & admission process consists of the Shortlisting, Group exercise and Personal Interaction round.
Course Curriculum Overview
IMS, Dehradun is equipped with the best classrooms and students get the best of study content from the 15+ member faculty team. Expertised teachers for BBA, BCA, MCA and MBA courses are available and they make the learning experience of students very smooth and beneficial. Along with classroom learning students also get to explore a lot about the corporate world through the wide number of Seminars and workshops organised by the institute.
Internships Opportunities
The internship round at IMS is just like any other management institute where firms offer work opportunities to students through which they can get some exposure to the real work environment they'll face during their corporate journey. The stipends grabbed by students are always a cherry on the cake sort of thing.
Placement Experience
Just like any other B-schools, students of MBA at IMS- Dehradun also get to opt for the campus placements in the final semester and the records of our college speaks about the quality of packages. Every year more than 85% students are placed under decent job roles and famous companies like HDFC,Wipro,Bajaj Capital, ITC & HCL technologies visit the institute for recruitment of eligible candidates. The average package of the round was near to INR 4.5 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure at IMS, Dehradun is very less than what some other established names of management studies charge. I had to pay only INR 1.62 Lacs annually for my 2-year MBA programme with this institute and I was more than happy to pay it because the study Provided to us was of the best quality.The total fee was INR 3.24 Lacs for MBA students.
Campus Life
IMS Dehradun is surrounded by a good amount of greenery and that makes the campus environment very soothing and relaxing. My priority has always been studies and that's why I didn't have much knowledge about the extracurricular activities or facilities available.I used library services in my favour because there was a lot of content to learn from and Moreover the quizzes,debates and industry talks added further to our growth on academic basis.It was great to interact with students from different parts of our country as all of them had something to learn.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel life at IMS-Dehradun was enjoyed well by my friends who did their students as a hostel student. I wasn't one such student and that's the reason I can't share any personal views about the quality of services offered there. The mess, food and sport facilities available there are all well and good because students get all these things under the hostel fee itself. The hostel premises had 24*7 security and power supply also and along with this interested students can apply to get special facilities too.
Admission
For candidates seeking admission to MBA at IMS, Dehradun it is important to have at least 50% marks during graduation in an relevant stream. Along with their academic records, performance of applicants in CAT or similar exams is also noted during the Shortlisting round. After that, the GD and Interview round was also organised before final selections.
