Remarks

Had to stay in hometown for family reasons/limitations. Got selected in other better colleges but could not join them for the same. So since it was one of the options available in my hometown I joined it.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

The faculty is not great at all. All they do I force student to sit in their classes else they will "mark you absent" which will prevent you to take the exams and you will fail. This is the whole story of Amity University. Irrespective if you are a good student and want to study from better options instead of getting your time wasted they won't listen. Sit there 9am to 5pm and waste your time. Ask for some Cooperation if you are preparing for a competitive exam, they still won't care. All they want is attendance and believe me you won't learn much from sitting in those low grade faculty class. Engineering material is tough and needs exceptional teachers. They forcibly added useless time wasting subjects such as , wait for it - history, geography, law, behavioral science in 1st year in my core engineering curriculum. And for whole 4 years we were forcibly taught German and behavioral science for God knows why. But everyone had to attend. Same story attendance. And I'm telling you it surely helps me in my career to know German German behavioral science because instead of coding machine in MATLAB or python you can talk I'm German with them and understand behavior of machines instead of mathematically modelling them. Teaching methodology- totally useless 70% of teachers don't want to teach tbh they come with their decades old notes. See the notes and write the content on the board and students jot them down in their notebooks. That's it, you're taught! Passing exams is very easy and they check it on their own, students who drink and smoke all semester pass with good marks as they attend classes. Irrespective of the quality of your answers/solutions the one who is a teachers pet and the more familiar your face is i.e. the mose you sit in class ,the more marks you will get.so For marks ,be the pet. It's a joke tbh. I topped my school in 12th with 97% and here students who just came regularly but smoked and drank and hanged out all day scored more than me. Just because I preferred my teacher who was GATE topper twice AIR 1 Ankit Goyal sir. But they handed me out for attendance and wasted all.my time. Thank God for covid i got rid of them but by then they had already wasted 3 years of my life. I'm rating 3/10 just because of 2 teachers that were really knowledgeable, good at teaching and cared for student like me who actually wanted to know the subject rather than just get attendance and waste Time. Heartbreaking one of them passed due to covid and I'll always miss her. She was a great teacher and a human.

Placement Experience

0.5

The placement Is terrible. Amity University Lucknow Campus isn't seen well as Amity itself. They write it as AUUP(Amity University uttar pradesh) on legal works as Amity Noida campus is also in Uttar pradesh. And during placement season Lucknow students don't even get the wind of 70%of the companies that come and if they do let them apply 100% of the time preference is given to Amity Noida campus student ,you know main campus, more fee ,etc. They will literally place you in a kirana Shop, you know, whatever works just to show high percent placement while marketing. The core companies in core engineering domains are like None. 99% come for CS/IT domain for bulk hiring. Only a quarter of student get placed literally at an okay package and a job profile they want. In core its like 0%. I mean they literally called a small firm based in the city which trains students in summers to pick students in core. So forget about good placement from here, literally. And the environment is terrible 90% of the students that join it are dim wittedand spoiled and come just to hang out so you won't get a very good environment for developing yourself or working on projects, or participate in events, seminars etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Scholarship based on 12th percentage in PCM. More than 94% you get 100 academic scholarship and then below 75, 50, 25 etc follows based on your PCM score in board. No info on financial assistance etc that I have.

Campus Life

3

Not great exactly. I was not staying in the hostel so can't say about the hostel life. There are 2-3 major college festivals that happen every year. Amiphoria etc. You can play sports in the backfield etc library is good and well built ,that's one thing I liked.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Did not opt for hostel but occasionally ate food in the mess. It was good, not particularly bad. Fully vegetarian. It is literally in the 'nowhere' part of the city so barring the few shops in front of the campus there is literally nothing around. So if say you stay there you can't get anything so easily be it grocery, daily use things, food etc. I rented an apartment near the campus so I know well. And also there are very limitations I think for hostel students to leave and come etc after college hours.

Admission

No. No interview is needed. Just go there give your info, report card etc. If your parents have money they will take you in irrespective of anything at all. Nothing is required, its a business not an academic institution.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
