Remarks
Chose this college because of its decent reputation for good placement opportunities, great infrastructure (among the top in Bangalore) and a very good crowd too. Also knew seniors who studied here who also gave a good recommendation. Liked to management and administration too. Another big reason was the location and in turn, my travel time to the college was favorable. Bad aspects of the college are that they are heavy on fines for every rule broken. They could also be better in terms of extra curricular activities - needs more support for in house clubs, fests etc. But nevertheless they were still enthusiastic about supporting us in our own non academic passions.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is under VTU, nothing to comment here as it is managed by the University. But the college definitely has great facilities to facilitate better learning of the curriculum. Each classroom is equipped with a smart projector system. There are also affiliations with many companies to provide labs and workshops outside the main curriculum. The facilities in my experience were mostly great, they try to understand each student and provide the best learning experience.
Internships Opportunities
Interned as a data analyst at a startup but provided through the college. There was no stipend but the learning experiences were laudable. But more internships with practical work experiences and stipend support are needed and an area for improvement in most engineering colleges of India.
Placement Experience
There is a great campus placement support. A seperate HR department takes care of training and facilitating placements. Students from 7th semester onwards are eligible with placement support still being provided to students already graduated. Some of the high paying companies who visited are Adobe (22lpa), Microsoft (17lpa), Cisco (17lpa), Yahoo (15lpa), Accolite Software (13lpa), Juspay (10lpa), L&T (10lpa). 93% of Student were placed from my batch (2020)
Fee Structure And Facilities
The general management quota fee is the same as the general average. But entrance exams like CET or Comed-K provides fee assistance from the government. I personally haven't come across any on campus jobs for a stipend. But most government or private scholarship advantages can be taken.
Campus Life
Social life is overall decent as the crowd is decent. Infrastructure is great, among the best in the city. It is located in a peaceful part of the city, nearby to a forest, which provides a quiet and peaceful learning environment, but is also within an arms length of reach to many recreational facilities. The main USP being the numerous tie-ups with many big companies (Apple, Intel, Cisco, TI, Bosch to name a few) to provide lab and workshop to all students as a mandatory part of the curriculum. But it could be better in terms of clubs.
Admission
There was no group discussion or interview for me as I got the admission through a government aided entrance exam which takes care of the same. But I did have a sit down with the principal and my parents for a general talk/interview.
